What does "98% naturally derived ingredients" mean?

ATTITUDE® calculates the claim "98% (or 99%) naturally derived ingredients" according to the internationally recognized ISO 16128 standard.

The remaining approximately 2% does not mean the product contains harmful ingredients. These are functional ingredients, such as preservatives, pH adjusters, or stabilizers, that are essential for ensuring the product's safety, quality, and stability throughout its shelf life.

Many of these ingredients are naturally occurring or derived from natural sources. However, under the ISO 16128 methodology, they are not always counted as "naturally derived" because they have been chemically processed or serve a specific technical function.
